THE NITROGEN GROUP

 

The Nitrogen Group is a business as mission leadership network purposed on new church and social enterprise start-up in the urban context.

 

The Nitrogen Group is intended to be a discipleship, leadership, and Kingdom multiplying journey for entrepreneurial business leaders in pursuit of making the greatest difference possible with their lives.

 

The Nitrogen Group is organized around monthly network meetings structured around three primary questions:

 

  1. Who am I? -  Discipleship – Keeping and developing the personal disciplines of being in God’s Word, a life of prayer and iron-sharpening-iron accountability to live a fully devoted life.

 

  1. What do I do?  Leadership– Developing essential leadership capacities to maximize effectiveness in the marketplace through topic driven speakers and conversations.

 

  1. What difference does it (who I am and what I do) make? – Kingdom – Developing the maximum stewardship of time, capacities, finances and capital to be a vital part of God’s redemptive work in this world.

Each network meeting will be organized by:

a.     A monthly pattern

 

b.     A common agenda for each meeting

               -Networking and lunch with host site and key leaders (Noon-1:00pm)

               -Disciple-making centered on the Word, prayer, accountability (1:00-1:30pm)

               -Leader-raising centered on stories, skills, and competencies (1:30-2:30pm))

               -Kingdom-multiplying centered on new church and social enterprise start-up (2:30-3:00pm)

              

c.      A common criteria of local church/church plant commitment and involvement

 

d.     A financial commitment

 

          e. A commitment to attend Exponential, Mosaics, or the CCDA annual conference and         

                nitrogen Gatherings with pastors, planters, and leaders throughout North America and

                beyond.
